Rediscovering Marrakech: An Adventure at Riad Dar Karma
Eight years after my last visit, I knew I had to make this trip unforgettable, and that's what happened. This time around, I found the perfect accommodation, Riad Dar Karma, and embarked on a journey of exploration, mouthwatering delights, and thrilling adventures. Let me take you on this escapade, and I promise you'll be itching to book your ticket.
A Riad Experience Like No Other:
Choosing the accommodation can make or break a trip, and boy, did I make the right choice! This time, I opted for a Riad, and it turned out to be the best decision ever. Riad Dar Karma stole my heart the moment I stepped in. The beautiful architecture, friendly staff, and authentic Moroccan experience welcomed me with open arms. Breakfasts and dinners were a culinary delight, leaving my taste buds pleased.
Exploring the Enchanting City:
Marrakech has always been a gem of a city, and revisiting it after eight years filled my heart with nostalgia and excitement. From the breathtaking Le Jardin Majorelle to the captivating Berber village, every step offered something unique. The YSL museum might not have been a showstopper, but it did reveal fascinating insights into the legendary Yves Saint Laurent.
Adventures in the Atlas Mountains:
A trip to Marrakech wouldn't be complete without venturing into the Atlas Mountains. Hiking in sandals might not have been my brightest idea, but the majestic mountains and the beautiful waterfall made it all worthwhile. And let's not forget the lunch and a view to die for! Quad biking through the desert and stopping for Moroccan tea and picturesque photos in Palmeraie, added that extra thrill to my trip.
A Day of Pampering:
After days of exploration and adventure, I decided to indulge in some relaxation. The Riad's rooftop was my haven, basking in the sun and soaking in the tranquillity. A sumptuous lunch prepared me for the ultimate treat—a heavenly full-body massage by Riad's skilled masseuse. Trust me when I say, it was the best massage of my life!
Marrakech, you've stolen my heart once again! From the vibrant cityscape to the warm hospitality at Riad Dar Karma, it was truly unforgettable. The adventures, the sights, the flavours, and the sheer magic of this country make it an absolute must-visit destination. Immerse yourself in the world of Marrakech, and let Riad Dar Karma be your home away from home as you create your unforgettable memories. Whether you're an explorer, a foodie, or an adventurer, Marrakech has something special to offer you.
I will say though, if you’re a melanated individual like myself, Marrakech can be a little difficult; although the majority of the people were absolutely fine with us being there, the small few that weren’t can make it an uncomfortable place to be in - this did not happen in our Riad or during our excursions though, this happened whilst walking through the city centre. - but please don’t let this deter you, it’s such a fun country to explore and do exciting excursions, just be vigilant. 😊
P.S. This is probably the most cost-effective vacation I’ve been on, the flight was cheap and the accommodation for those 3 nights, was even cheaper! Absolute bargain.
